It’s finally getting colder, and along with everyone else I’m trying to rebuild my winter wardrobe a few pieces each payday, before I have to start shelling out on Christmas presents. Here’s my latest Autumnal treats, I went for a few staple pieces that I can mix and match with the rest of my wardrobe – yes most of it is black, but with a seasonal colour chucked in.
The Jacket is from Topman, and I absolutely love it. I’ve been putting up with a thin overshirt as my only piece of black outerwear for far too long, and thought it was time to invest in something slightly warmer. The main body of the Jacket is a wool mix, with a faux shearling collar – like an aviator jacket, but the cut and contrast panel make it more of a work wear feel. Being black its an easy wear, and can be dressed up or down, It works great with a turtle neck as I’ve done.
Although Camel seems to be the favourite this Autumn, I thought I would go for a slightly stronger colour – Rust, not only does it work really well with black, and it also doesn’t highlight that fading summer tan as much as camel would. The bottoms are from H&M, just their standard slim-leg black jeans. I’ve mentioned before how I always gravitate to black bottoms – they are cheap to replace and go with just abut anything. I like to turn mine up, and always make sure I match my socks to the rest of my outfit, this snazzy pair are also from H&M and were only about £2.50, an absolute steal if you ask me! The boots are a pair of lace-up DM’s I picked up in last years January sale – a bit battered now, but still one of my all time favourite pairs

The colour of that jumper is really nice, I’ve never owned a turtle-neck before, but think I am going to order one
you won’t regret it
Love the look man. Very Londonesque! We’ll be looking to add a bunch of independent brands and vintage menswear from London soon so if you’re into that scene definitely have a look
