Mast Brothers Chocolate

25th November 2015

Mast Brothers

Mast Brothers are a London and Brooklyn based Chocolate makers, and have recently opened up a store on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, East London. Theres not really much to say about them other than that they have absolutely beautiful packaging and the chocolate tastes delicious! I haven’t got round to sampling all the flavours yet, but what I have tasted so far has been insane. The Goats Milk and the Sea Salt are my favourites, the only one that I haven’t been blown away by is the Smoke – it definitely tastes smokey, but I’m just not sure how I feel about it. Anyway, the reason I chose to post about these is because they photograph really well and because I thought they would make cracking Christmas gifts. They come in several different sized bars ranging from £4 – £19, and they also sell it by the block or as a £75 selection box. They’re not the cheapest bars you’ll ever buy, but they are worth it and anyone with an appreciation for nice design will be sold on the packaging alone.

Either way if your ever in the area, its worth stopping by their London store/factory, its a really great space, they make the Chocolate on site, and quite often hand out samples or hot chocolate – enjoy!

I am not a big chocolate eater but I might have to pick these up just for the packaging!

I went by the London store a while back, smells great. I’ve tried a few of their styles but I think the taste is aquired. A bit like Hershey’s. I do love their designs though, and the way they’ve moved away from vintage inspired stuff to architecture / design related designs. If you like these check out Coco Edinburgh.

Crazy packaging man. I think I’d take extra care in opening these. How does the coffee one taste?

I think it’s one of my favourites to be honest, the coffee comes through pretty well but its not at all bitter, I’d recomend it
