As you all know I’m always on the look out for any form of skincare product which doesn’t leave me with a two day, red, blotchy face. I know I’ve said it before but the mixture of sensitive and spot prone skin, makes it pretty hard to find new products that work. I kind of feel that the best way to do this is to ideally aim for products with all natural ingredients, no chemicals and no perfumes, basically nothing too harsh.
JorgObé were kind enough to send me these three products to trial/play with, my first thought being how much fun it would be to peel off – just like smothering your had with PVA in art class, letting it dry and then spending the rest of the lesson peeling it off. They’re a Danish brand based in Copenhagen, who’s goal was to develope effective, natural products without all the unnecessary chemicals. And on top of this they’ve managed to make it super affordable, and then squeeze it into this beautifully Nordic packaging – a complete all-rounder if you ask me!
I’ve never been one for bothering with face masks, more because of my association with my older sisters girly sleepovers, but also because they normally smell like the perfume department of Selfridges. These however, don’t look like your conventional pink packaged face mask, and certainly don’t smell like it. Even if you don’t feel like your manliness can handle a face-mask, with their branding and packaging they’ll make a pretty good Christmas present.
Refreshing Scrub Mask: £22.00
This doubles up as an exfoliating cleanser and a deep cleansing face-mask. Personally I prefer to use this as a face-mask, but it works just as well as a rub on was off face cleanser. It has a menthol pang, which leaves your face feeling really clean and fresh.
Black Peel Off Mask: £22.00
For me this is the best of the three, it was the first product they released, and its won a fair few awards since then. I just love using it; peeling it off is as satisfying as you’d imagine. You do need to make sure that you only use it on your T-zone, as it will dry you skin out a tad, but it does help get rid of black heads, and it definitely reduces the appearance of pores – as with all face-masks though, it will pull all the impurities in your skin to the surface, so the first time you use it you may get a few spots, but from there on in its worth it.
White Tea Balancing Cream: £20.00
Apparently this cream manages to regulate sebum production, which I think means it manages how oily your skin is. It also claims to reduce ageing, firm the skin, moisturise and reduce the appearance of blemishes – I’m going to stick with it and hope it does exactly that.
From experience its always good to make sure you test any products before you use them.
